A good day…

So yesterday was a pretty good day. I spent all day doing some logos & graphics for POV(People of Value). It feels good to be working, but not have to go clock in. Plus I’m building a pretty nice porfolio lately, so that’s a plus. This was the second job that came from Angie(of beautiful books). I dont remember if I blogged about that or just posted on facebook. But yeah, she’s gonna be sending me some work pretty often, hopefully. I also did her logo(beautiful books). The POV logos above are done completely from scratch. right down to the lil children holding hands in a circle!  that took forever..but it turned out great

I also did a flyer for TAG Poetry  in my downtime while waiting for approval on the proofs for POV. That one wasnt paid tough. I really need to stop doing free work. People tend to think that just because you CAN do something and make it look easy that you should just do them a “favor.” My time is more valuable now since I have to leverage every single minute to work to my benefit. I’ll probably be done doing free work pretty soon. some people will feel like I’m being uppity or “commercial”, already got that one from somebody. Why is it that people feel like the fact you want to be paid for your talent and time makes you commercial? as if there is something profound in being poor…hmmm, I just went off on a tangent LOL.
